3 Quick + Easy Breakfast Ideas
I have always been somebody who craves breakfast pretty much as soon as I wake up in the morning. However, I don’t like spending too much time preparing my meal. With that being said, today I am sharing 3 of my go-to, quick and easy breakfast meals that can be prepared within 10 minutes!
Breakfast #1: Oatmeal with a Twist
Oatmeal is a classic breakfast choice. For years I bought the Quaker Oats microwavable packets which are still a solid choice, but they contain a high amount of unnecessary sugar. I wanted to start my days with a healthier option so now I use this oatmeal from Trade Joe’s. (This one is good too if you have less time!)
Ok so now for the twist: I melt in one these chocolate peanut butter treats to add a little sweetness and extra flavor.
If this seems too sweet for you, you can substitute this with your favorite fruit instead. Sprinkling cinnamon is also a delicious add on!
Breakfast #2: Egg and Chicken Omelette
I love omelettes because you can honestly combine whatever is left in your fridge.. Typically the more you add, the yummier it is!
My omelettes are usually filled with:
- 2 eggs
- chopped onions
- a couple pieces of chicken
- black beans are a complete bonus and game changer
It’s pretty much like a burrito for breakfast 🙂
Breakfast #3: Acai Smoothie
I recently purchased these unsweetened acai packets from Trader Joe’s because I’ve never had acai before (I’ve only seen it a million+ times on Instagram, haha.)
Add into a blender:
- 1 acai packet
- almond milk
- coconut oil
- spinach or kale
- strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries
If you wanted to change it up, you can have it as a bowl and use those same ingredients as toppings. I prefer the smoothie because it’s easiest to grab and go!
